Promoting Educational Advancement for Every Child

Reach and Teach Foundation is dedicated to promoting educational advancement for every child especially street children, children with disabilities, and village children who cannot afford school. We identify these children, connect them to schools, and provide the fees, uniforms, and meals they need to learn. We have reached over 94 children and dream of building our own community school where no child is turned away. We cannot do this alone. Join us. Give a hand. Build a school. Change a life forever.

Education For All

Education for All is not just a phrase it is our mission, our promise, and our call to action. We believe every child deserves a chance to learn, regardless of poverty, disability, or background. We go into the field to find the most vulnerable children, connect them to schools, and provide the support they need to stay in the classroom

Support For Disabled Children

Children with disabilities who are often forgotten and excluded from education. We find these children, connect them to inclusive schools, provide resources, and fight stigma. We visited them in their villages with some basic needs and love showing them that they matter. We dream of building a community school where children with disabilities are fully included and treated with dignity. Every child deserves a chance to learn.

Community Development

Reach and Teach Foundation believes that community development begins with the most vulnerable among us. When a child goes to school, an entire community is transformed. When a child with disabilities is included, a community learns love and acceptance. We go into villages identifying children left behind and giving them tools to build a better future. So far now we partner with local schools and some families to create lasting change from within.

About Our Journey

My name is DENIS SSENOGA Founder and Executive Director of the Reach and Teach Foundation. This organization was not born in a boardroom, but from the soil of my own life marked by struggle and a stubborn belief in the power of education. I was born the seventh of eight children in a loving but financially struggling family. Among my four brothers and four sisters, I carried a burden and a privilege. I was the only one who completed high school. I worked tirelessly, saving every coin for university. But life had a different lesson. As I looked at my savings, I couldn't see only my own fees. I saw countless children in villages and on the streets of Kampala brilliant minds whose dreams were dying not from lack of will, but from lack of a single coin. How could I use this money for myself when it could be a lifeline for so many?

That was the moment the seed of Reach and Teach was planted. I deferred my dream so theirs could begin. I took my university fund and knocked on school doors, seeking bursaries for children who had nothing. The need was far greater than my modest savings, but my resolve was unshakable. This act was not isolated. From a young age, I spent every birthday with people with disabilities, sharing soap, food, and moments of joy. I saw that the needs of street kids and the poor families from our villages were a deep wound in our society. In 2023, I shared this vision with a friend. By April 2024, we registered the foundation and built a team of eight dedicated members and several volunteers. Everything was moving well until my contract was terminated. I never planned to leave my country, but it was the only solution to keep the children in school. I faced many challenges. Continuous sickness tested my strength. But I stayed strong. I stayed for the cause. We exist for one reason, to be the hand that reaches out and the commitment that teaches. We are here for the child who sleeps on the streets, and those who lost everything, the talented mind in the village, and the child with a disability who deserves a chance. Education is not a privilege it is a fundamental right.

This is our story. We invite you to be part of it.
